Vascular smooth muscle cell migration is important in vascular disease. Previously, we showed thrombospondin-1 activates focal adhesion kinase in these cells. We hypothesized that focal adhesion kinase is important for thrombspondin-1-induced vascular smooth muscle cell migration.
