Agrin, a factor used by motoneurons to direct acetylcholine receptor (AChR) clustering at the neuromuscular junction, initiates signal transduction by activating the muscle-specific receptor tyrosine kinase (MuSK). However, the underlying mechanisms remain poorly defined.
