Human cytidine deaminase apolipoprotein B mRNA-editing catalytic polypeptide-like 3F (APOBEC3F, or A3F), like APOBEC3G, has broad antiviral activity against diverse retroelements, including Vif-deficient human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-1.
