BACKGROUND/AIMS: Fibrotic liver remodelling was studied in culture of precision-cut liver slices (PCLS) derived from fibrotic liver. METHODS: Fibrosis was induced in rats by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) treatment or bile duct ligation. Human fibrotic livers were also used.
