This paper describes a simple and rapid analytical method for the structural identification of abnormal human hemoglobins. Globin chains obtained by precipitation of erythrocyte hemolysate in cold acetone are directly analyzed by capillary zone electrophoresis in coated capillaries without any prior treatment.
