The objectives of this study were to characterize and compare the metabolic profile of cyclosporine A (CsA) catalyzed by CYP3A4, CYP3A5 and human kidney and liver microsomes, and to evaluate the impact of the CYP3A5 polymorphism on product formation from parent drug and its primary metabolites.
