Substantia nigra (SN) hyperechogenicity on brain parenchyma sonography (BPS) is highly characteristic for idiopathic PD. We studied 7 symptomatic and 7 asymptomatic parkin mutation carriers (PMC) from a large kindred with adult-onset parkinsonism.
