Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) is the most common paediatric cancer with a cure rate of approximately 80%. Relapse occurs despite treatment stratification based on clinical criteria. Relapse risk in ALL may be related to simple nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of enzymes that metabolize chemotherapeutic agents.
