We screened DNAs from 48 Japanese individuals for single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in eight genes encoding the ATP-binding cassette, subfamily C (ABCC/ MRP/CFTR), by direct sequencing of their entire genomic regions, except repetitive sequence elements.
