Mutagenic carcinogens rapidly induced tumors in the p53 haploinsufficient mouse. Heterozygous p53-deficient (+/-) mice were exposed to different mutagenic carcinogens to determine whether p53 loss of heterozygosity (LOH) was carcinogen-and tissue-dependent.
