Strain IC203, deficient in OxyR, and its oxyR(+) parent WP2 uvrA/pKM101 (denoted IC188) are the basis of a new bacterial reversion assay, the WP2 Mutoxitest, which has been used in the evaluation of 80 chemicals for oxidative mutagenicity.
