Hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) is characterized by familial clustering and early onset. It is unclear, however, whether the early onset of colorectal cancer necessarily represents HNPCC. A 13-year-old patient had rectal cancer and underwent curative surgery.
