To identify genetic determinants relevant to non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), we performed a genome-wide analysis for quantitative trait loci (QTLs) using 359 backcross progeny of the Otsuka Long-Evans Tokushima Fatty (OLETF) rat.
