<h4>Summary</h4> Craniometaphyseal dysplasia (CMD) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by hyperostosis of craniofacial bones and flared metaphyses of long bones. Mutations in ANKH (mouse orthologue ANK), a transmembrane protein mediating ATP and citrate efflux, cause the autosomal dominant form of CMD.
