Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA: formerly Churg-Strauss syndrome) is a rare inflammatory disease of unknown cause. 30% of patients have anti-neutrophil cytoplasm antibodies (ANCA) specific for myeloperoxidase (MPO).
