<h4>Summary</h4> TRAAK is a mechanosensitive two-pore domain K + (K2P) channel localized to nodes of Ranvier in myelinated neurons. TRAAK deletion in mice results in mechanical and thermal allodynia and gain-of-function mutations cause the human neurodevelopmental disorder FHEIG.
