<h4>Purpose</h4> Brain metastases from non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) engraft and grow either within the brain (solid) or diffusely on its surface (leptomeningeal disease; LMD). Routine clinical diagnostics have low sensitivity and provide no information about the underlying mutations.
