<h4>BACKGROUND & AIMS</h4> Tight junctions (TJs) establish tissue barriers that maintain osmotic homeostasis and, in the liver, isolate bile flow from the blood circulation. ZO-2/Tjp2 is a scaffold protein that tethers TJ transmembrane proteins to the actin cytoskeleton.
