Castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) remains incurable due to its high plasticity. We found that Mediator kinases CDK8 and CDK19, pleiotropic regulators of transcriptional reprogramming, are differentially affected by androgen, which downregulates CDK8 and upregulates CDK19.
