MRL-lpr/lpr (MRL/lpr) mice are a model of human autoimmune disease. They exhibit a number of characteristics of systemic lupus erythematosus, including anti-DNA Abs, anti-cardiolipin Abs, immune complex-mediated vasculitis, lymphadenopathy, and severe glomerulonephritis.
