Replication of the oxidative lesion 8-oxo-7,8-dihydroguanine (GO) leads to the formation of both 8-oxo-7,8-dihydroguanine:adenine (GO:A) and 8-oxo-7,8-di-hydroguanine:cytosine (GO:C) pairs.
