Hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) is an autosomal dominant cancer syndrome characterized by early age of onset colorectal cancer (mean 45 years) as well as endometrial, urinary tract, and upper gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas.
