Prostate cancer (CaP) is the most commonly diagnosed, nondermatological cancer in the United States. The development and progression of CaP is influenced by androgens. 5 alpha-Reductase, type II, converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone and is critical to the development of the prostate.
