Plasma angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) tracks with the deletion allele of an insertion/deletion (I/D) polymorphism of the ACE gene. The aim of the present study was to determine plasma renin and angiotensinogen for each ACE genotype in 54 hypertensive and 96 normotensive subjects.
