Familial predisposition to basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the skin are apparent in the autosomal dominant syndromes naevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome (NBCCS) and multiple self-healing squamous epitheliomata (MSSE) respectively.
