Platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGF-R) phosphorylation at tyrosines 740/751 and insulin receptor phosphorylation of insulin receptor substrate-1 effects the recruitment and activation of phosphatidylinositol-3-OH kinase (PI(3)K).
