Cardiac phenotypic modulation and remodeling appear to be involved in the pathophysiology of cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure. We undertook this study to examine whether angiotensin II (Ang II) in vivo, independent of blood pressure, contributes to cardiac phenotypic modulation and remodeling.
