Multidrug resistance (MDR) is associated with expression of P-glycoprotein in the malignant cells as the one of known mechanisms for this phenomenon. The isolated blast cells of 60 patients with acute leukemia and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) were assayed for the expression of P-glycoprotein (P-170) with MRK16 antibody.
