In order to study the role of gyrB in antibiotic resistance in post-ciprofloxacin therapy fluoroquinolone-resistant clinical isolates of Salmonella typhimurium, plasmid pBP548, which contains the Escherichia coli gyrB gene, was used in complementation studies.
