Atypical fibroxanthoma (AFX) and pleomorphic dermal sarcoma (PDS) are dermal-based sarcomas that fall along a spectrum with different rates of local recurrence and metastasis. While AFX is less aggressive and confined to the dermis, PDS invades the subcutis.
