INTRODUCTION: Multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and next-generation sequencing (NGS) can both be used to identify a neoplastic clonotype by targeting CDR3 and assessing rearrangements in IgH, IgK, IgL, TCR-β, and TCR-gamma loci.
