Cemento-osseous dysplasia (COD) belongs to the spectrum of benign fibro-osseous lesions occurring exclusively in the tooth-bearing areas of the jaws. Depending on site and extent of involvement, periapical, focal and florid subtypes can be distinguished that share an identical histomorphology.
