Gynecologic cancers are routinely screened for DNA mismatch repair (MMR) gene mutations using immunohistochemistry (IHC) and/or polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for microsatellite instability (MSI) to enable selection of immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy and screen for Lynch syndrome.
