BACKGROUND: To estimate the associations between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and methylation of KCNQ1 gene and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) risk and the interactions among SNPs, methylation, and environmental factors on T2DM risk.
