Antxr1/Tem8 is highly expressed in tumor endothelial cells and is a receptor for anthrax toxin. Mutation of Antxr1 causes GAPO syndrome, which is characterized by growth retardation, alopecia, pseudo-anodontia, and optic atrophy.
