STUDY QUESTION: Does incisional endometriosis (IE) harbor somatic cancer-driver mutations? SUMMARY ANSWER: We found that approximately one-quarter of IE cases harbor somatic-cancer mutations, which commonly affect components of the MAPK/RAS or PI3K-Akt-mTor signaling pathways.
