KRAS mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) may be classified into epithelial or mesenchymal subtypes. Despite having the same "driver" mutation, mesenchymal NSCLCs are less responsive than are epithelial NSCLCs to inhibition of the RAS pathway.
