OBJECTIVE: To breed Aspergillus oryzae strains with high fructosyltransferase (FTase) activity using intraspecific protoplast fusion via genome-shuffling. RESULTS: A candidate library was developed using UV/LiCl of the conidia of A. oryzae SBB201.
