Spindle assembly checkpoint governs proper chromosomal segregation during mitosis to ensure genomic stability. At the cellular level, this event is tightly regulated by UBE2C, an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme that donates ubiquitin to the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome.
