We have previously reported that insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 (IGFBP-3), a protein with dichotomous effects on both cell proliferation and cell survival, interacts with peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) and inhibits adipogenic PPARγ signaling.
