RIII/Sa and C3H mice harbour milk-borne mouse mammary tumour virus (MMTV) and develop mammary tumours at a high incidence. These mammary tumours usually arise ventrally and/or on the sides of the animals. In the present study, some mice of both strains were observed to have tumours in the dorsal neck area.
