A number of mouse skin tumors initiated by the carcinogens N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG), methylnitrosourea (MNU), 3-methylcholanthrene (MCA), and 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) have been shown to contain activated Ha-ras genes.
