Csk-homologous kinase (CHK) is an important endogenous inhibitor constraining the oncogenic actions of Src-family kinases (SFKs) in cells. It suppresses SFK activity by specifically phosphorylating the conserved regulatory tyrosine near the C-terminus of SFKs.
