Endometrial cancer (EC) is a steroid hormone-dependent cancer. Uridine 5'-diphospho-glucuronosyltransferase enzymes conjugate and detoxify endogenous and exogenous steroid hormones and environmental carcinogens. Among these enzymes, the function of UGT2B17 is unknown except for glucuronidation.
