Non-inbred AIR (AIRmax, AIRmin) and Car (Car-S, Car-R) mouse lines were generated from the same eight inbred mice through bidirectional selective breeding for acute inflammatory response and for susceptibility to two-stage skin tumorigenesis, respectively.
