The genetic diversity of a range of ionising radiation sensitive mutants of cultured mammalian cell lines has been examined. Hybrids were constructed from suitably marked diploid cells by cell fusion and selected using resistance to HAT and ouabain. Hybrids were examined for ploidy and gamma-ray sensitivity.
