Pulmonary fibrosis is characterized by phenotypic changes to mesenchymal cells and an increase in the deposition of fibrillar collagen (fCollagen). This study investigated the effect of type I fCollagen on the phenotypic plasticity of human parenchymal fibroblasts (PFbs) in vitro.
