OBJECTIVE: Investigating the association between plasma levels of cytokines and chemokines, Selenoprotein S (SELS) gene variation and osteoarthritis (OA) subtypes. METHODS: The genetics of osteoarthritis and progression (GARP) study consists of 191 sibling pairs with symptomatic OA at multiple joint sites.
