We present the facile technique of colorimetric SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) analysis through DNA-templated cooperative complexation between a luminescent lanthanide ion (Ln(III): Tb(III) or Eu(III)) and two ODN (oligodeoxyribonucleotide) conjugates carrying a metal chelator.
