Dopamine-and-cAMP-regulated neuronal phosphoprotein (32 kDa) (DARPP-32), encoded by PPP1R1B, is expressed in brain regions receiving dopaminergic projections, including the prefrontal cortex (PFC), and is implicated in the pathophysiology of schizophrenia.
